Delon's perfect English is just the most obvious of the traits that made him such a good fixer for our production. His understanding of film-making, and his ability to set things up for our trip, no matter how tricky, were first rate. The fact that he's a fun person to have in a crew is a bonus. I'd be surprised if there's a better fixer in Sri Lanka.”
Delon worked with us on a Nat Geo pilot show called “Get Rich or Die Mining”. His work and contribution to the production, which followed a crack team coming to Sri Lanka to find, cut and sell sapphires was exemplary. His work in negotiating the complex network of permits and permissions was invaluable. And he proved equally adept at conjuring up all manner of props and equipment often at very short notice, as often is the case when a new format is being piloted. On top of that Delon is a delight to have around. He is hard-working, conscientious, calm, efficient and positive in attitude whilst being completely practical and realistic about the demands of a production and what can be achieved. I cannot recommend him highly enough."

We worked with Delon and his team for over two months making a BBC documentary about international adoption. It was a very sensitive topic and we had initial concerns about accessing the government offices and hospitals at the centre of the adoption industry. In the space of three weeks, Delon had opened up every government ministry, hospitals and public building we needed, many of which had previously refused filming permissions. It was extraordinary. He also provided first class sound recording for the shoot and acted as the faultless off screen translator. His many skills are grounded in a completely unflappable mindset, an incredible capacity for hard work and a genuine passion for the stories he is covering and the people he's working with. His years working as a journalist has given him excellent editorial judgement and sense of story, and he was a brilliant sounding board as we felt our way through a complicated, unpredictable shoot. The resulting film, described by The Daily Telegraph as “one of the most quietly devastating films you will see”, was in large part due to Delon’s contribution.

Choosing Delon as our Sri Lankan line producer was the best choice I made. Even though he was busy with another project during our preproduction period, he was prompt and attentive to all our questions. During our filming in Sri Lanka, he made everything possible and stayed flexible 24/7. Besides being extremely professional, Delon is also a very likeable person. If I ever have the chance to work in Sri Lanka again, he and his company would be my very first choice!"
