The Dreamforge, supported by GIZ Flict, recently produced a short film which seeks to explore the causes of growing racism and religious extremism in Sri Lanka. The goal is to challenge the complacency of the silent majority who sit on the sidelines happy to attribute incidents of ethnic disharmony to the work of a few “extremists”, whilst holding many of the same beliefs. The goal is to create dialogue and to open a discussion on this very divisive issue. The film was shot entirely in anamorphic format, a first for a Sri Lankan digital film. The screenplay was written by award winning playwright Chamila Priyankara. The film was directed and shot by Delon Weerasinghe.
